Max HP and Posture

The Cleric gains 6 Max HP and 3 Max Posture per level.

Additionally, the Endurance skill is added to the Max HP only once.

The Reflex skill is also added to the max Posture only once as well.

Cleric Level 1

Cleric Casting (Rank 0)

Your magic is given to you as a present from a powerful deity.

Choose the spells from the Cleric Spell List for you to learn. They are all considered Cleric spells, which have these traits:

  • You can only learn Cleric spells of Level 0.

  • The total number of Cleric spells you know is equal to 2 times your Cleric Level + your Religion. When you Level up, you can switch up to 3 Cleric spells you know.

  • Cleric spells require clear movement and faith. You cannot cast Cleric Spells while wearing Heavy Armor or wielding Great Shields, and you must cast them by praying to a deity as part of that spell enchantment.

  • The Spell Skill for your Cleric Spells is Religion.

Healing Touch

Your blessed hands are able to heal upon touching the wounds of someone.

You have a special pool of healing power, which replenishes when you finish a Long rest. The total amount in this pool is equal to 3 times your Cleric Level.

As an Action, you can touch a creature and use any amount of this pool of healing power to restore HP from that creature.

Cleric Level 2

Channel Miracle

You are a vessel that can be used to channel miracles.

You gain 1 Miracle Slot, which can be used to fuel your Cleric abilities. You regain all used Miracle Slots when you finish a Short or Long rest.

As an Action, you can also use 1 Miracle Slot to Turn Undead. When you do so, all Undead creatures within 30 feet of you must make a Religion Save against your own Religion, taking light damage equal to your Religion skill on a fail, or half as much on a success.

This light damage deals double Posture damage.

Faith Devotion

You devote yourself to a specific aspect of your faith.

Choose one Cleric Subclass for your character. You gain the abilities from Level 2 from that subclass.

You then gain the rest of the Subclass abilities when you reach Level 6, 10, 14 and 18.

Cleric Level 3

Cleric Casting (Rank 1)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 1.

Your Caster Rank grants access to Mana, which can be used to cast Spells of Level 1 or higher.

The amount of Mana you have is determined by your Caster Rank, as shown in the Caster Table below.

To cast a Level 1 or higher spell, you must use 1 Mana as mentioned on the table above. The higher the Level, the more Mana you need to spend to cast the spell.

You regain all your Mana when you finish a Long rest.

Cleric Level 4

Feat

You gain a unique ability. Choose one Feat from the Feat List for your character.

Cleric Level 5

Blessed Faith

You now have 2 Miracle Slots.

In addition, when you deal damage to Fiend or Undead, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to deal extra light damage equal to your Religion skill to one of the Fiends or Undead creatures.

Cleric Casting (Rank 2)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 2.

 

Cleric Level 6

Faith Devotion

You gain the abilities of Level 6 of the chosen Subclass.

Cleric Level 7

Cleric Casting (Rank 3)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 3.

Cleric Level 8

Feat

You gain a unique ability. Choose one Feat from the Feat List for your character.

Cleric Level 9

Cleric Casting (Rank 4)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 4. 

Miracle Protection

You now have 3 Miracle Slots. In addition, if you or a creature you can see within 30 feet of you takes any damage, you can use your Reaction and 1 Miracle Slot to reduce that damage by a number equal to your Religion skill.

Cleric Level 10

Faith Devotion

You gain the abilities of Level 10 of the chosen Subclass.

Cleric Level 11

Cleric Casting (Rank 5)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 5.

Cleric Level 12

Feat

You gain a unique ability. Choose one Feat from the Feat List for your character.

Cleric Level 13

Cleric Casting (Rank 6)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 6.

Grand Miracle

You now have 4 Miracle Slots. In addition, you can also ask direct help from a Deity you worship as a Free Action. 

You must then roll a Religion Check (DC 25).On a success, you can cast any Cleric spell you know without using any Mana during that same turn. You also regain all your Miracle Slots and the pool from your Healing Touch ability is also replenished.

You must use the result of this Check, and you cannot reroll it.

You can only attempt to use this ability once per Long rest, despite the result.

Cleric Level 14

Faith Devotion

You gain the abilities of Level 14 of the chosen Subclass.

Cleric Level 15

Cleric Casting (Rank 7)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 7.

Cleric Level 16

Legendary Feat

You gain a legendary ability. Choose one Feat from the Legendary Feat List for your character.

Cleric Level 17

Avatar of the Gods

You now have 5 Miracle Slots. In addition, you automatically succeed the Check from your Grand Miracle ability.

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 8.

Cleric Level 18

Faith Devotion

You gain the abilities of Level 18 of the chosen Subclass.

Cleric Level 19

Legendary Feat

You gain a legendary ability. Choose one Feat from the Legendary Feat List for your character.

Cleric Level 20

Cleric Casting (Rank 9)

You gain a Caster Rank and you can now learn Cleric spells of Level 9.

Cleric Subclasses

Each Deity grants unique powers to their Clerics. This power reflects the nature of the Deity each Cleric is devoted to.

Your Subclass grants abilities on the Levels 2, 6 , 10, 14 and 18. With the admission of your GM, you can switch your Subclass anytime, but try to commit with a single Subclass.

Death Devotion

You are devoted to Persephone, the goddess of spring and Death. She is the embodiment of new starts and end of cycles, a symbol of life and decay.

Quick Build: As a Death Cleric, you should focus on spell that deal dark or light damage in order to use your Channel Death ability

Death Devotion Level 2

Channel Death

When you deal light or dark damage, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to increase that damage by 1d12. If one or more creatures die because of this damage, you regain 1 Miracle slot back.

Death Devotion Level 6

Praise Death

When a creature dies within 60 feet of you, you can give Posture equal to your Cleric Level to yourself or any ally you can see.

Death Devotion Level 10

Curse Protection

When you cast a Forbidden spell, you can cast it without being affected by the Curse. In addition, spells from the Necromancy School no longer can reduce your HP when you cast them.

Death Devotion Level 14

Dark Miracle

When you succeed on your Grand Miracle, you can choose 1 creature within 60 feet of you. That creature loses any immunities or resistances to light or dark damage until the end of the current turn.

If that creature does not have any immunities or resistances to dark or light damages, it instead becomes weak against dark or light damage until the end of the current turn.

Death Devotion Level 18

Never Ending Death

You can now use your Channel Death ability without any Miracle Slots.

In addition, you now deal 1d12 + your Religion skill dark damage when you use your Channel Death ability.

Knowledge Devotion

You are devoted to the Olympian God of Knowledge, Athena. She is known for her genius mind, which she uses to guide heroes and even other gods. However, she is also a ruthless warrior that is prepared to do anything in order to win.

Quick Build: As a Knowledge Cleric, you should focus more on the Intelligence stat rather than Wisdom.

Knowledge Devotion Level 2

Channel Information

You gain advantage on all Arcana, Investigation, Memory or Religion Checks and Saves.

In addition, when you fail an Arcana, Investigation, Memory or Religion Check or Save, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to reroll that result, potentially turning it into a success instead. You must use the second result and cannot reroll it again.

Spell Knowledge

You register everything you know in your Diary. 

Your Cleric spells properties changes as following:

  • All Cleric spells you know are inscribed in your Diary, and you must have your Diary to cast Cleric spells.

You register all Cleric spells you know in your Diary. You can find and transcribe new spells in your Diary as you adventure yourself.

When you find such a spell, you can spend a number of hours equal to 1 + the spell’s level in order to transcribe it to your Diary. In addition, you can also write your spells in other places, such as notes or even create a second Diary if you ever lose the first one.

Moreover, all spells in the Wizard Spell List are also considered Cleric Spells for you and you can learn them.

At last, if you lose your Diary, you can create a new one by Memory. During a Full rest, you can make a Memory Check to see if you can write down the spells you remember. You can then write down a number of spells you knew equal to the result of that Memory Check.

Knowledge Devotion Level 6

Channel Arcane

When you cast a spell, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to upcast that spell by 1 Level for free.

If the spell is from the Divination School and deals no damage, you can use this ability for free, without spending any Miracle Slots.

Knowledge Devotion Level 10

Mind Protection

You become immune against being Confused, Enchanted or Scared, as well as immune to brain and psychic damages.

In addition, you can also cast the Restoration spell for free, without using any Mana.

Knowledge Devotion Level 14

Conscious Miracle

You have the necessary knowledge to invoke a Great Miracle.

You gain advantage on the Checks from your Grand Miracle ability. In addition, you also regain Mana equal to 2 times your Tier when you succeed on your Grand Miracle.

Knowledge Devotion Level 18

Never Ending Learning

You can now use your Channel Information ability without using any Miracle Slots.

In addition, when you use your Channel Arcane, you can upcast that spell by up to 3 Levels for free instead.

Life Devotion

You are devoted to Primordial God Phanes, harbor of all light in existence. He blesses all with his power and vitality. However, Phanes is known for blessing all creatures, regardless of their worth and without judgment. Some say his compassion is his greatest strength and weakness.

Quick Build: As a Life Cleric, you should focus on a more supportive play style to better use your healing abilities.

Life Devotion Level 2

Channel Vitality

As a Bonus Action, you use 1 Miracle Slot and touch 1 willing creature. That creature gains Posture equal to your Religion.

Healing Devotion

The HP pool from your Healing Touch ability becomes larger.

The total amount in this pool is equal to 4 times your Cleric Level and you can use that pool as a Bonus Action instead of an Action.

Life Devotion Level 6

Greater Vitality

When you use your Channel Vitality or Healing Touch abilities, you can cast the Restoration spell on the creature you gave Posture or HP with that same Bonus Action and without using any Mana.

Life Devotion Level 10

Life Protection

When you use your Miracle Protection ability, the creature you protected gains resistance to all damages until the start of its next turn.

Life Devotion Level 14

Miracle of Life

When you succeed on your Grand Miracle ability, you can make 1 creature of your choice within 60 feet of you regain all their HP.

Life Devotion Level 18

Never Fading Life

You can now use your Channel Vitality without using any Miracle Slots.

In addition, the HP pool from your Healing Touch ability becomes even larger. 

The total amount in this pool is equal to 10 times your Cleric Level.

Sun Devotion

You are devoted to Olympian Sun God Helios, a deity that illuminates the world. He is known for being one of the great gods that provides energy to the entire world. However, he is known for his great pride, and anyone that disrespects him is punished by his light.

Quick Build: As a Sun Cleric, you can completely Blind your foes, making spells that impose Reflex Saves incredibly powerful to you.

Sun Devotion Level 2

Channel Sunlight

As a Bonus Action, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to create Sunlight. You then choose 1 point within 60 feet of you that you can see. All creatures within 15 feet of that point must succeed on a Reflex Save against your Religion, or become completely Blinded for 1 turn.

If that creature is a Fiend or Undead, it also takes light damage equal to your Religion skill on a failed Save, or half as much on a success.

You can use your Concentration to maintain this Sunlight for 1 hour. It illuminates all the area within 60 feet, but does not blind anyone, and you can move the point of light 60 feet as a Bonus Action.

Sun Devotion Level 6

Praise the Sun

Once per round, if you cast a spell that deals light or fire damage while exposed to sunlight, you can upcast that spell by 1 Level for free.

Sun Devotion Level 10

Bright Protection

When you use your Miracle Protection ability, sunlight shines giving extra protection.

Any creature of your choice within 10 feet of the target you protected must succeed on a Reflex Save against your Religion, or become completely Blinded for 1 turn and Ignited (1d6) as well.

Sun Devotion Level 14

Bright Miracle

You can now make the Check from your Grand Miracle with advantage if you are in an area with sunlight.

In addition, if you succeed on your Grand Miracle, you also gain a Fly Speed with Hover of 30 feet and before any creature that attempts to Attack you, it must first succeed on a Reflex Save against your Religion, or take 1d6 light damage and become completely Blinded until the end of its turn and Ignited (1d6). This effect lasts for 1 minute.

Sun Devotion Level 18

Never Ending Light

You can now use your Channel Sunlight ability without using any Miracle Slots.

In addition, when you use your Praise the Sun ability, you can upcast by 2 Levels for free instead of just 1 Level.

War Devotion

You are Devoted to the Olympian God of War Ares, a violent deity that brings power for those who fight. Ares represents the will to fight and the strength to impose yourself. However, he is also known for being extremely aggressive and reckless.

Quick Build: As a War Cleric, you should focus on Melee Weapons for your Channel Violence ability, as well as on Quick Spells at higher Levels in order to use the 2 Actions for your Double Action ability.

War Devotion Level 2

Channel Violence

You learned how to channel the violence of war.

Once per round, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to make 1 Melee Attack with a weapon as a Free Action.

In addition, you can cast Cleric spells even while wearing Heavy Armor or using Great Shields.
 

Favorite Weapon (2)

Choose any 2 weapons to be your Favorite Weapons. When you finish a Full Rest, you can switch one of your Favorite weapons with another Weapon, which you can find here.

War Devotion Level 6

Double Action

You can now use 2 Actions per turn.

Favorite Weapon (4)

Choose 2 more weapons to be your Favorite Weapons.

War Devotion Level 10

Violent Protection

When you use your Miracle Protection ability, the target that dealt damage must then make 1 Reflex Save against your Religion skill.

On a fail, it takes 2d8 light damage and is pushed 15 feet away from the creature you protected and becomes Knocked Prone. On a success, it only takes half that damage.

This light damage deals double Posture damage.

War Devotion Level 14

Violent Miracle

When you succeed on your Grand Miracle ability, you regain all your Posture back.

In addition, you gain resistance to slash, strike and thrust damages for 1 minute as well.

War Devotion Level 18

Never Ending Fight

You can now use your Channel Violence ability without using any Miracle Slots.

In addition, if you would be reduced to 0 HP, you can use 1 Miracle Slot to instead drop to 1 HP instead.
