Barbarian

You are a brute and enraged warrior that recklessly attacks your enemies on the battlefield.

Quick Build: You will need to prioritize the Strength stat as a Barbarian. We recommend taking Strength base skills, like Athletics and Endurance. However, we do not recommend taking the Concentration skill, since Barbarians don’t use it.

Max HP and Posture

The Barbarian gains 8 Max HP and 4 Max Posture per level.

Additionally, the Endurance skill is added to the Max HP only once.

The Reflex skill is also added to the max Posture only once as well.

Barbarian Level 1

Favorite Weapon (2)

You are experienced with weapons.

Choose any 2 weapons to be your Favorite Weapons. When you finish a Full Rest, you can switch one of your Favorite weapons with another Weapon, which you can find here.

Indestructible Body

Your body is naturally resilient, to the point where you don’t even need armors to be protected.

While you’re wearing no armor, you gain the following things:

  • You can make your AC become equal to 10 + your Endurance (Max +10) with an AP equal to your Rage Bonus.

  • You can reduce any damage you take with AP, instead of reducing only slash, strike or thrust. If an Attack deals multiple types of damages, you choose which type is reduced.

  • When you finish a Long rest, you can regain HP equal to twice your Barbarian Level + your Rage bonus.

You can check your Rage Bonus at the Class table.

Barbarian Level 2

Rage

Your ferocious anger starts to manifest in battle, and allows you to force your body beyond any normal limit.

As a Bonus Action, you can enter in Rage. While in Rage, the following things happens:

  • You immediately recover half your Posture (rounded down). 

  • At the end of your turns, you can choose to gain Posture equal to your Rage Bonus.

  • Once per Action, when you hit a Melee Attack, you can add your Rage Bonus to the damage roll of that Attack.

  • You gain adantage on Intimidation Checks.

Your Rage lasts for 1 minute or until you become Enchanted or Unconscious. You can also end your Rage earlier as a Free Action if you want.

After your Rage ends, you become Exhausted. You cannot use your Rage while Exhausted or Enchanted.

Tireless Body

Your body is used to high levels of stress, making you quickly recover your energies.

You stop being Exhausted when you finish a Short rest.

In addition, you can still keep using your Posture and Reaction even while Exhausted.
 

Barbarian Level 3

Favorite Weapon (4)

Choose 2 more weapons to be your Favorite Weapons.

Wrath Path

You learn how to direct your wrath to a specific path.

Choose one Barbarian Subclass for your character. You gain the abilities from Level 3 from that subclass.

You then gain the rest of the Subclass abilities when you reach Level 6, 11, 15 and 20.

Barbarian Level 4

Feat

You gain a unique ability. Choose one Feat from the Feat List for your character.

Barbarian Level 5

Double Action

You can now use 2 Actions per turn.

True Rage

Your Rage is unstoppable.

You gain resistance to slash, strike and thrust damages while on Rage and while you have Posture.

Barbarian Level 6

Favorite Weapon (6)

Choose 2 more weapons to be your Favorite Weapons.

Wrath Path

You gain the abilities of Level 6 of the chosen Subclass.

Barbarian Level 7

Threatening Presence

Your presence makes others prioritize their Attacks on you.

While on your Rage, all creatures of your choice have disadvantage on their Attacks against other targets besides you. You must be within 10 feet from them to apply this effect.

Barbarian Level 8

Feat

You gain a unique ability. Choose one Feat from the Feat List for your character.

Barbarian Level 9

Barbarian’s War Cry

When you roll for Initiative, you can make a great War Cry to intimidate your foes and inspire your allies.

All hostile creatures that can hear you must succeed on an Insight Save against your Intimidation, or become Scared of everything for 1 turn and take 1d4 + your Rage Bonus sonic damage. 

In addition, all friendly creatures that can hear you also add your Rage Bonus to their Initiative results.

Moreover, your Rage Bonus becomes +3.

Barbarian Level 10

Frightening Fury

When you activate your Rage, all creatures within 30 feet of you must immediatly succeed on an Insight Save against your Intimidation, or become Scared of you for 1 turn. You can repeat this effect at the start of your turns while on Rage.

Barbarian Level 11

Wrath Path

You gain the abilities of Level 11 of the chosen Subclass.

Barbarian Level 12

Feat

You gain a unique ability. Choose one Feat from the Feat List for your character.

Barbarian Level 13

Unbreakable Posture

The minimum Posture you can have is 1. Any excess damage you take after your Posture have reached 1 is subtracted by your HP instead.

In addition, your Rage Bonus becomes +4.

Barbarian Level 14

Reckless Save

Before you make a Save while on Rage, you can lose 1d12 HP to make that Save with advantage.

Barbarian Level 15

Wrath Path

You gain the abilities of Level 15 of the chosen Subclass.

Barbarian Level 16

Legendary Feat

You gain a legendary ability. Choose one Feat from the Legendary Feat List for your character.

Barbarian Level 17

Mad Rage

You become an unstoppable monster.

You gain resistance to all types of damages while on Rage.

In addition, your Rage Bonus becomes +5.

Barbarian Level 18

Limit Breaker

Your Rage allows you to break any physical limits of your body.

When you Rage, you additional effects:

  • You are considered in fast terrain.
  • Your Jumping speed is multiplied by 10.
  • You gain 1 extra Action during your turns.

Barbarian Level 19

Legendary Feat

You gain a legendary ability. Choose one Feat from the Legendary Feat List for your character.

Wrath Path

You gain the abilities of Level 20 of the chosen Subclass.

 

 

Barbarian Subclasses

All Barbarians have an immense Rage inside of them, but each one of them directs this Rage in their own ways.

Your Subclass grants abilities on the Levels 3, 6 , 11, 15 and 20. With the admission of your GM, you can switch your Subclass anytime, but try to commit with a single Subclass. 

 

Berserker's Wrath

Your wrath has consumed you. It no longer lets you eat or sleep in peace. The only way you have found relief is by going to the battlefield, going full Berserk…

Quick Build: As a Berserker, we recommend you to maximize your Intimidation skill so that the Saves from your Gaze of Rage become harder to succeed.

Berserker's Wrath Level 3

Berserk Attack

As a Bonus Action, you can make 1 Unarmed Strike while on Rage.

Unarmed Rage

While on Rage, you can make Unarmed Strikes without any hands. You can instead Kick, headbutt or bite for example.
 

Berserker's Wrath Level 6

Reckless Punch

While on Rage, you can recklessly Attack without caring for any consequences whatsoever.

You gain advantage on your Berserk Attack and you can also add your Rage Bonus to the Berserk Attack’s damage roll.

Berserker's Wrath Level 11

Unstoppable

Your wrath won’t be stopped, no matter how trapped you are.

While on Rage, you gain the following benefits:

  • You are immune against being Enchanted, Scared or Stunned

  • You are considered in fast terrain.

  • If you are reduced to 0 HP, you can be reduced to 1 HP instead, but your Rage then ends.

Berserker's Wrath Level 15

Berserker’s Vengeance

Any creature that dares Attack you will suffer severe consequences for its foolishness.

When a creature hits you with an Attack, you can make 1 Attack of Opportunity against it.

Berserker's Wrath Level 20

Paralyzing Fear

Your wrath makes others Stunned in fear.

When a creature fails the Insight Save from your Barbarian’s War Cry, that creature also becomes Paralyzed for 1 turn.

Chaotic Wrath

You have been exposed to powerful and chaotic fey magic, which has altered your body. Whenever your emotions get out of control, this magic manifests in the most unpredictable ways possible, resulting in true chaos..

Chaotic Rage

When you activate your Rage, you also trigger a Wild Surge effect. Roll a d100 on the Wild Surge table to determine the magical effect produced.

You use the Endurance skill as the Spell Skill for the spells you cast with your Wild Surge effect.

If a random effect would make you cast a spell as a Free Action, you immediately use that Free Action even if it is not your current turn.

Unstable Rage

When you take any damage while on your Rage and while you have Posture, you can use your Reaction and roll on the Wild Surge table and produce another random effect. These effects can stack.

Chaotic Wrath Level 6

Chaotic Luck

You gain a +2 bonus to your Luck stat, to a max bonus of +6.

In addition, when you roll on the Wild Surge table, you can spend 1 Luck Point and reroll the d100. You must use the second result and you cannot reroll it again.

Chaotic Wrath Level 11

Critical Chaos

When you score a Critical Hit while on Rage, you can trigger 1 Wild Surge effect. If you do so, you can add 1d6 to the damage of that Critical Hit.

Chaotic Wrath Level 15

Wild Fortune

You gain a +2 bonus to your Luck stat, to a max bonus of +8.

In addition, when you trigger a Wild Surge, you can roll 2d100 and choose 1 result to be the effect of the Wild Surge.

If you would reroll your Wild Surge, you can reroll the 2d100 and choose 1 result again.

Chaotic Wrath Level 20

One with Chaos

After you use your Chaotic Luck ability, you can spend 1 extra Luck Points to choose any other random effect on the table instead.

You’ve been Cursed by demonic forces. This Curse transforms you until a Demon whenever you are overtaken by your Rage.

Demonic Wrath Level 3

Demonic Rage

You are a bearer of a Dark Curse, which manifests itself in moments of pure rage and agony.

When you use your Rage, you temporarily transform into a Demon. You gain the following effects until your Rage ends:

  • You become a Fiend type, in addition to the creature type of your race.
  • You gain resistance to dark damage.
  • Once per Action, when you hit a Melee Attack, you can deal extra 1d6 dark damage with it.

Demonic Wrath Level 6

Demonic Transformation

The Curse has become stronger, and now it physically transforms you when it manifests.

When you activate your Rage, you can choose to gain 1 of the following effects until your Rage ends:

  • Blood Lust: Once per round, you can make 1 Melee Attack as Free Action against a target that is Bleeding. You can add your Rage Bonus to the damage of this Attack.

  • Demon Horns: When you Dash and move at least 20 feet, you can make 1 Horn Attack with advantage as a Free Action. This Attack deals 1d12 thrust damage.

  • Putrid Breath: You gain resistance to poison damage. As an Action, you can also release a toxic gas from your mouth. All creatures in a 15 feet wide and 30 feet long area in front of you must make an Endurance Save against your own Endurance skill. On a fail, they take 1d8 poison damage and become Poisoned (1d8, 1 turn). On a success, they only take half that damage.

Demonic Wrath Level 11

Greater Curse

Your Demonic Curse becomes even stronger and affects you in more ways when manifested.

Your Demonic Rage ability gains the following upgrades:

  • You become Immune to dark damage.
  • Once per Action, when you hit a Melee Attack, you can deal extra 1d10 dark damage with it instead of 1d6.
  • You can gain a pair of wings. You can use the Fly Speed as your Base Speed.

Demonic Wrath Level 15

Greater Transformation

When you activate your Rage, you can also use up to 3 effects of your Demonic Transformation ability at the same time.

Demonic Wrath Level 20

King of Demons

Your Curse has reached its perfect form, transforming you into the king of demons.

Your Demonic Transformation ability gains the following upgrades:

  • Blood Lust: You can now use this ability twice per round instead of just once per round.

  • Demon Horns: Your Horn Attack deals double Posture damage.

  • Putrid Breath: A creature that fails the Save from this ability also takes 1d8 acid damage. Any Construct or Armor/Weapon being used by those creatures also takes 1 Corrosion Point when they take this acid damage.

Elemental Wrath

You’ve been blessed by the Elementals of this world. They share the same wrath as you do, and are willing to offer their power so you can become their apostle.

Quick Build: With the Elemental Wrath, you can choose to use your Burning Soul, Electrifying Posture or Cold Breath according to the situation.

Elemental Wrath Level 3

Elemental Rage

Your Wrath ignites the elemental power within you.

When you activate your Rage, you can choose to gain 1 of the following effects until your Rage ends:

Burning Soul

You gain resistance to fire damage. As a Bonus Action, you can also shoot fire arrow from your mouth. Make 1 Endurance Ranged Attack with a reach of 30 feet. On a hit, the target takes your 1d4 + Rage Bonus fire damage.

Electrifying Posture

You gain resistance to electric damage. In addition, when a creature hits a Melee Attack against you while you have Posture, it takes your Rage Bonus electric damage.

Cold Breath

You gain resistance to cold damage. In addition, you can blow freezing winds, as a Bonus Action. All creatures in a 15 feet wide and 30 feet long area in front of you must then succeed on an Endurance Save against your own Endurance skill, or become Contained for 1 turn.

Elemental Wrath Level 6

Elemental Body

Your body adapted to the elemental energy that you possess.

You gain additional effects depending on the effect you choose from your Elemental Rage ability:

Burning Soul

If a creature takes the fire damage from the Attack, it must also succeed on an Agility Save against your Endurance, or become Ignited (1d4).

Electrifying Posture

Once per Action, while you have Posture, you can deal extra 1d6 electric damage with any Melee Attacks.

Cold Breath

When a creature fails the Endurance Save from this ability, that creature also takes your Rage Bonus cold damage.

Elemental Wrath Level 11

Elemental Soul

Your soul is now entangled with the elemental energy that you possess.

You gain additional effects depending on the effect you choose from your Elemental Rage ability:

Burning Soul

You become Immune to fire and bleed damages. In addition, you can also Hover Fly Speed with your Base Speed.

Electrifying Posture

You become Immune to electric damage. In addition, when you deal electric damage against any creature while you have Posture, you can also transfer that damage to a second creature within 10 feet of the first one.

Cold Breath

You become Immune to cold damage. When a creature fails the Endurance Save from this ability, it also becomes Immobilized for 1 turn.

Elemental Wrath Level 15

Elemental Control

You are able to control the elemental powers and use all of them while on your Rage.

When you activate your Rage, you can gain all 3 effects from your Elemental Rage ability at once.

Elemental Wrath Level 20

Elemental Chaos

You are able to manifest all the elemental energy within you, allowing you to become a chaotic monster on the battlefield.

Whenever a creature takes any fire, electric or cold damage while 120 feet within you, you can also increase that damage by an amount equal to your Rage Bonus.
