Memory Control

Enchantment School – Level 4

Type: Normal Spell

Reach: Touch

Duration: 1 minute, using Concentration

Effect: You magically alter the memories of any creature.

Choose any creature within reach. It must succeed on an Insight Save. If that creature is hostile, it makes this Save with advantage.

On a fail, that creature becomes Enchanted by you. While Enchanted this way, that creature is Immobilized and unaware of its surroundings. If that creature takes any damage, if someone uses an Action to shake that target, or if you stop touching the creature, it then stops being Enchanted and it does not have any of its memories changed.

You can then talk to that creature and modify its memories from the last 24 hours. The creature must be able to understand your language, as you describe the new memories that it will have.

If the new memories are too absurd and have no logical explanation, that creature will then perceive these new memories as being just a strange wild dream or part of its imagination.

If you alter details from the memory, like adding or removing some people from a scene or event, or changing names or locations for example, the creature does not notice that its memories were changed.

In addition, you can erase its memories, but if you do so, that creature notices that it unnaturally forgot something.

The Remove Curse or Restoration spells can restore that creature’s true memories.

Upcast: If you upcast this spell, you can choose 1 additional creature for each Level upcasted.
