Cosmic Staff
Very Rare Staff – Cursed
Special Effect: Once per Short or Long rest, you can cast Conjure Aberration or Cosmic Sphere using your Arcana as the Spell Skill, without using Mana.
Attunement Price: 10 brain damage when you finish a Long rest.
Curse: You cannot end this staff attunement, and this staff always returns to you, either by teleporting, or simply appearing to you by coincidence. You become an Aberration type, in addition to the creature type of your race. You also learn how to speak the Far Speech language, which doesn’t count against the total number of languages you know. In addition, you lose any immunities or resistances of brain damage, if you had any.
Magic Staffs
Magic Staffs are items that can greatly alter the spells that you cast, and some let you cast spells for free, without using Mana. However, you must pay a price in order to keep attuned with a Staff. Most Staffs will require you to spend Mana when you finish a Long rest to keep attuned with them, but others can require blood, or even your own soul as their price.
You must be holding the Staff with 1 hand in order to benefit from its effects, and you no longer need 1 free hand to cast Normal Spells while holding a Staff.
