Blood Sacrifice
Necromancy School – Level 3 – Forbidden
Type: Ritual Spell
Material: A Medium or larger creature that is not resistant or immune to bleed damage.
Casting Time: 4 hours
Reach: 20 feet
Duration: 1 month
Effect: You make a forbidden ritual, sacrificing a creature to gain control over blood magic.
Once you finish this ritual, you sacrifice the creatures used for this spell. That creature is then reduced to 0 HP and dies. If the creature used for this ritual uses its movement during the ritual, the spell then fails.
If you complete the ritual, you gain the following effects for the spell duration:
- Any bleed damage you take is first subtracted by 4.
- If a creature that is not immune to blood damage within 30 feet of you dies, you can use your Reaction to gain HP equal to 2 times its Tier.
A creature immune or resistant to Bleed damage cannot cast this spell.
Divine Curse: The gods forbid the sacrifice of living creatures for spells, condemning you to bleed eternally.
While Cursed this way, you become weak against light damage. If you had any resistances or immunities to light damage, you also lose them.
You also bleed eternally while Cursed this way. You are always Bleeding (1d4). If you ever stop Bleeding, you just immediately start Bleeding (1d4) again.
If this Curse is ever broken, you then lose all the benefits you gained from performing this ritual.
