Blood Rain

Necromancy School – Level 4 – Forbidden

Type: Ritual Spell

Material: 6 Medium or larger creatures that are not immune to bleed damage.

Casting Time: 8 hours

Reach: 50 miles

Duration 24 hours

Effect: You perform a forbidden ritual, sacrificing multiple creatures to produce an unholy rain of blood.

Once you finish this ritual, the creatures used for this spell are sacrificed, reducing them to 0 HP and causing them to die. If at least one creature used for this ritual moves during the ritual, the spell fails.

If you complete the ritual, it starts a rain of blood in the region within reach for the spell’s duration. All creatures in this rain’s area are affected by the following things:

  • Saves to avoid Bleeding have disadvantage in this rain.
  • Any light damage taken in this rain is reduced by 1d6.
  • Once per round, a Fiend or Undead in this rain can increase their damage by 1d6.

A creature immune or resistant to Bleed damage cannot cast this spell.

Divine Curse: The gods forbid the sacrifice of living creatures for spells, condemning you to bleed eternally.

While Cursed this way, you become weak against light damage. If you had any resistances or immunities to light damage, you also lose them.

You also bleed eternally while Cursed this way. You are always Bleeding (1d4). If you ever stop Bleeding, you just immediately start Bleeding (1d4) again.
